He went on to play football at Curry College and majored in Business Management with a communication minor. He has coached at the middle and high school level for 8 years. He was a multi-year all-star, 3-year varsity football player as well as a captain for the basketball team. He graduated from Rockland High School in 2015. Kenny works full time at the college as the Student Accessibility Associate. Coach Nguyen is in his 2nd year under Coach Scott. He later finished his Masters of Education at American International College. Kenny went off to Bridgewater State University and earned his bachelors in Sociology. He was a 3-year starter and Patriot League All-Star for both sports. Doug and his wife Paige live in Quincy with their daughter Savannah and son Beau.Ĭoach Nguyen grew up in Quincy and had a successful career at Quincy High School playing football and basketball. Doug stays active in the community serving as director of summer leadership camps for the BO Foundation servicing over 100 adolescents during the summer evenings.
He is actively coaching with the legendary BABC (Boston Amateur Basketball Club) under Leo Papile. Following his playing career, Coach Scott began coaching at the high school level as an assistant coach at Quincy High School. He was named NJCAA Division 2 first team All-New England. Doug went on to play basketball at Massasoit Community College where he continued to excel. He was a 4-year starter, led Quincy to two Patriot League titles and is the all-time leading scorer in the city of Quincy with 1555 points.
